Polly Woodside, Melbourne’s Tall Ship by Ann Gibson provides an in-depth social history of one of Australia’s most significant historic vessels.
The ship’s journeys around the world are presented in detail and the experiences of masters and crew are brought to life through diaries, interviews and archival sources.
The book also includes previously unpublished photographs of the award-winning restoration by the National Trust of Australia (Vic), which culminated in the ship being the first merchant ship in the world to receive the World Ship Trust Medal.
Costs are $20 (or $18 for Trust Members), plus $2.50 postage and packing within Australia.
To purchase a copy, please contact the Trust on 03 9656 9800, or email media@nattrust.com.au
