You can explore the history of the ship at the new Polly Woodside Gallery set in the original Dockside sheds.

Six exhibition zones feature maritime and interactive displays about life at sea, the crew, navigation, maritime language and Melbourne’s docks.

Get your sea legs and enter through the revolving barrel.

Make a hot rivet or try your skills loading coal on the robot ship!



The Polly Woodside Film


Take a seat inside the half completed hull of the Polly Woodisde theatre and join Ship's Carpenter George Andrews on his perilous first voyage crossing the globe in 1904 aboard the Polly Woodside in a special widescreen film.

The film is based on George's diary which is on display in the Gallery and lets you discover the true stories about the sailors and the perilous life of hardship for those men who called the Polly Woodside home.
